Can You Treat Rosacea With
An Acne Treatment?

They say that 14 million Americans suffer from rosacea, and most of them don’t even realize it. Many who are aware are told that their only option would be to work with a prescription. Ironically, many of the prescription treatments that are supposed to treat sensitive and red rosacea afflicted skin are known for their side effects such as red, dry, and irritated skin. But it is hard to know how to beat this, because most people don’t understand what causes rosacea. So the trick is to educate yourself.

When looking for a rosacea treatment, realize that rosacea is essentially a bacterial infection lying around the skin. It is definitely not curable, and taking an antibiotic won’t make it disappear, let alone go away forever. If looking for a good option, obviously, you want something that will kill off bacteria. But in the interest of saving your skin cells, we would also suggest that you might want to find a treatment that supplements your skin, strengthening it to naturally deal with bacteria in the future. Granted, rosacea bacteria is abnormal at the very least. But fortified skin would in theory help to reduce the severity at times, especially with regular supplementation. And finally, you want ingredients that will either increase skin cell turnover, exfoliate, or both. If you have clogged pores, bacteria and other problems are going to get trapped in those pores. So that is something you want to avoid.
